Community engagement

We strive to develop programs and strategies that support Hospital and Health Services to provide the best possible healthcare for the community. To achieve this, we partner with consumer groups and non-government organisations to ensure that the voice of consumers is at the centre of what we do.

Most recently we’ve partnered with the state’s peak consumer group, Health Consumers Queensland, on the response to the Barrett Adolescent Centre Commission of Inquiry. The project to implement the six recommendations featured an unprecedented level of consumer and carer participation, which played an integral role in the development and design of new services.

Consumers have also been engaged through the Integrated Care Innovation Fund, Queensland Clinical Senate and presented at the 2017 Clinical Excellence Showcase to remind us why we do the work that we do – creating solutions for better healthcare.
